Margaret Heck

Margaret, age 77, died Friday, July 13, 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Meg Heck; sons, Steve Heck (Jean Tourikis) and Ken Heck; granddaughter, Julie Heck; sister, Florence Adams; and brother, Oatley Adams, Jr. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Heck. Margaret married Roy, her high school sweetheart, and followed him throughout his military career all over the U.S. and to Europe. She loved her family and raised her children to always aspire to be the best they could be in whatever career they chose. Education was very important to her and she was very well read in the classics. She loved Hollywood musicals and could sing the songs even at the end of life. She also enjoyed casinos and Las Vegas - every phony inch of it! She enjoyed gambling: not for the money, but because she loved a good game. She also enjoyed animals, especially dogs. Services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 2:00 pm at French-University Chapel, with visitation from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
