Margaret (Margie) Hanson, a resident of Albuquerque since 2014, died August 9, 2021 at the age of 70. Margie was also an enthusiastic ballooner and skilled weaver. She celebrated the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta for many years and generously shared her passion for the fiber arts with others as the secretary of Las Arañas Spinners and Weavers Guild. Margie is survived by her mother, Kathryn Hanson; sister, Barbara (Dean) Benforado; nieces, Laura (Jake) Hanson Schlachter, Elizabeth (Stephen) Tavasci, and Emily (James) Behnke; nephew, Tyler Hanson; and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Hanson, and brother, David Hanson. Interment took place at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Mankato, MN on September 5, 2021 followed by a family gathering.
