After 60 years of gracing this earth with the kindest heart and warmest soul, Maggie Anaya, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Maggie was born in Albuquerque, but spent much of her childhood at the family farm in Springer, NM. She graduated from Del Norte High School in 1972, the year after she got her beloved blue Camaro. A long time employee of Albuquerque's Lovelace Healthcare Systems and La Buena Vida Inc. in Bernalillo, Maggie was the go-to person for questions and help or just as a shoulder to cry on in times of need. Maggie loved working with ceramics, crafts, reading, and time fishing with her family. Her family was never a small group of people, children, friends, dogs and cats were always welcomed by Maggie with open arms. The world lost a truly amazing wife, mother, sister, and friend but she will live on through the happy memories of her warmth, her kindness, and her love. Maggie is survived by her husband of 32 years, Richard T. Anaya; son, Gabriel T. Anaya, and fiancAC.e Helen Rush, of Washington, D.C.; brother, Thomas O. Lloyd III and wife Mary, of Springer, NM; as well as many nieces and nephews. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas O. Jr., and Irene Lloyd. Friends and loved ones are invited to visit FRENCH - Lomas Chapel, Friday, December 12, 2014 for a viewing from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., with a Memorial Service immediately following. Interment will begin at 11:15 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at the family home after 2:00 p.m. Friday.
