Age 76, a resident of Rio Rancho, died Monday, December 16, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Anderson and husband, David Hall of Seattle, WA; her son, Kent Anderson of Rio Rancho, NM; her sister, Shirley Waugh of Arvada, CO; her brother, Robert D. Lofgren Jr. of Golden, CO and many other family and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alice Lofgren and her daughter, Colleen Anderson. Margaret was a member of Episcopal Cathedral of St. John. Until she retired in 2004, she was the Assistant Head at Manzano Day School in Albuquerque. Prior to that, she was the Head of the Cathedral School in Little Rock, AR, the Head of the Rio Grande School in Santa Fe, NM, and was a professor at Kansas University. She received her Ph.D. in Education at Denver University. Margaret was a great advocate for students and teachers and continued to be a lifelong learner. She could never leave a book store without an armful of books. Her love for movies, music, the ocean and adventure was well known.
