Marcos Medina

Marcos Medina, age 100. Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, June 21, 2021. Marcos was a lifelong resident of Chimayo, NM, and was a WWII Veteran who then went to work at the Zia Labs in Los Alamos, NM, where he retired from. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was loved by everyone that knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaisa Medina; parents, Pablo and Valeria Medina; and four siblings. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Patricia Gallegos; four grandchildren, Melanie Medina, Melissa Gallegos (Preston), Melinda Gallegos, and Robert Lozano; eight great-grandchildren, Alexis Baca (Stephen), Delilah Gamboa, Estrella Gallegos, Talya Gallegos, Anthony Lozano, Jaslene Lopez, Danielle Lopez, and Olivia Ruybal; and two great-great-grandchildren, Sophia Gallegos and Stevie Lopez. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends. A Visitation will take place at FRENCH-University on Sunday, July 25, 2021, between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. A Rosary and Mass will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021, 10:15 a.m., at Holy Family Parish, 1440 Private Drive, NM-76 #10, Chimayo, NM. Interment to follow, 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM.

Pallbearers will be Delilah Gamboa, Robert Lozano, Anthony Lozano, Henry Garcia, Michael Garcia, Preston Ruybal.
