Marciana Romero Planer passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Marciana was born on July 3, 1923, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her love was tending to her garden, spending time with family, and God. She will be remembered by her cooking, her large dinner parties on Christmas Eve, dancing to Spanish music, and her love of flowers. Marciana was proceeded in death by her husband, Harold Planer; parents, Melquiades and Juanita Romero; brothers, Fruitoso, Emiliano, and Frank Romero; and sister, Lola Hall. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Sedillo, and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Alexander Fish, Thomas Sedillo and wife, Sara, and Amber Ortiz and husband, John; great-granddaughter, Trinity Fish; and sisters, Lucy Lehman, Dolores LeBlanc, and Eleanor Rubio. The Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - University with a Funeral Rite to follow. Friends are welcome to visit beginning at 9:00 a.m. Marciana will be laid to rest with her loving husband, Harold, at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A reception will follow at FRENCH - University.
