Manuel Vargas, 84, beloved father and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on March 29, 2017. He entered this world on December 27, 1932 in Albuquerque, NM, born to Mariano and Rita Vargas.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Vargas Sr. and wife, Gaylene; grandsons, Thomas Vargas Jr. and wife, Christine, Antonio Vargas and wife, Briana; and great-grandchildren, Shyann, Jazmine, Manuel, Megynn, Carlos, Lorenzo, Jaye and Elias. Manuel also leaves behind his church family at El Buen Samaritano. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Luz Vargas; his parents; as well as three brothers and five sisters.
Services will be held Friday, March 31, 2017, 10:00 a.m., at El Buen Samaritano United Methodist Church, 700 Granite Ave. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu in flowers, donations in Manuel's memory can be made to El Buen Samaritano.
