Major James M. Mullen, USAF (Ret.) went to the Lord on Saturday, August 3, 2013 with family by his side. Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy; children, Heather Mullen-Buerger and her husband, Nicholas, Dr. Peter Mullen and his wife, Maia and Missy Mullen and her husband, Colin; and grandchildren, Lauren, David and Elinor. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. Jim graduated from St. Louis University in 1967, where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and was inducted into the 1965 Baseball Hall of Fame. Jim went on to receive his Master's Degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 1980. His service in the United States Air Force was centered on aerospace safety. Jim was an original member of the Air Force Space Command. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he was a Safety Consultant with the State of New Mexico Workers Compensation Administration. Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was an avid fisherman, baseball fan and devoted to his Catholic faith. Friends may visit FRENCH - Wyoming Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 8, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Jim will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim's name to Independence Fund/Track Chair at .
