Madonna Watkins, 89, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, was called to her eternal resting place on March 21, 2016. She entered this world on September 14, 1926 in Casper, WY, born to Edward and Eva Green. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Charles T. Watkins Jr. Donna is survived by her four children, Charles Watkins III, Lynn Felts and husband Mike Felts, Bruce Watkins, Susan Baca and Chip Brenn. Donna was blessed with two sisters, Mary Henry and Wanda Hagmeyer. She also was loved by her many grandchildren, Chelsea Watkins, Bryan Felts, Thomas Felts, Lorenzo Baca, Roni Baca, Addison Baca, Phil Watkins, Carlos Watkins, Xander Watkins, Allison Watkins and Wyatt Felts.
Donna received her BA in journalism from the University of New Mexico, where she also became a Phi Kappa Phi member. Donna was a devout Christian and member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed history, reading, was an excellent seamstress and played the piano. Donna was known by all as an angel on earth, and ultimate caretaker of others. She dedicated herself to our country as a military wife, as her husband Charles served in the United States Air Force for 34 years, through three wars.
Friends and family may visit Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. Donna's Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 25, 2016, 10:30 a.m., also at FRENCH - Wyoming. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. The family is requesting that those who come to pay their respects please wear something pink in memory that Donna's absolute favorite color was pink. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Presbyterian Hospice.
