Lynne Fenton McWilliams, MSN, RNCS
Lynne was born in Sheridan, MT on January 22, 1952, to Jack and Frances Fenton. She was the fourth generation on the family ranch, and she loved the lifestyle and the animals. Lynne graduated from Sheridan High School, then went to Kinman Business University in Spokane, Washington. After graduation she moved to Springerville, Arizona.
Lynne married Steven C McWilliams in Springerville, Arizona on October 1, 1978, and moved to Albuquerque in 1979. She worked for Dr. Mladnich at St Joseph's Towers until 1989 when she began her studies at UNM. Lynne obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (magna cum laude) in 1994 followed by a Master of Science in Nursing degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in 1999. Lynne was dedicated to helping the children of New Mexico. She worked at and retired from Children's Psychiatric Hospital (CPH) then moved to Sage Neuroscience working in child psychiatry until October 31, 2022. Lynne set the example of integrity, kindness, and professionalism.
Lynne was loved by all who knew her, and tributes have been made by clients, friends, fellow health care professional colleagues, and family. She loved her family, her pets, laughter, and what she did for children. Lynne is survived by her husband Steve, her sister Kathleen Wuelfing, two sisters-in-law Susan and Sara, her brother-in-law Tom (DeLoss), her nephews, Dr. Ryan McWilliams (Sarah), Dr. Justin McWilliams (Galina), Scott Wuelfing (April), and niece Lindsey Wuelfing.
Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in- law, and brother-in-law. There will be no services as per her wishes.
