LYNN V. LOONEYAge 75, the youngest of four sons, born to Joseph Paul and Lillie Mae Littrell Looney on November 11, 1936 went home to the Lord on November 4, 2012. Raised in Floydada, Texas, he came to Albuquerque in the early 1950's where he met his wife, Marilynn Louise Crawford. They married on December 23, 1961. Drafted into the Army, Lynn served honorably from 1960 to 1962, receiving the Presidential Unit Citation. He was active in the New Mexico Civil Air Patrol during the 1980s and was Squadron Commander of Composite Squadron 30076, Blacksheep. Lynn worked for Rowland's Nursery from the late 1950s until its closing in 2005. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 51 years, Marilynn; four children, Daren, Walter (Arlene), Deryl, and Ginger; two grandchildren, Tiffany Joy and Michael Lynn; his older brother, Pete (Alice) Looney; sisters-in-law, Patsy Looney and Maxine Looney; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Joseph Looney and Ervin Looney; his daughter in law, Pamela Looney; and his grandson, Joseph Isaac Looney. Graveside Services will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 9:45 am.
