Lynn Albert Wilson, age 97, a resident of Albuquerque for 57 years, died Friday, March 9, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Matilde Wilson; children, Judy Prestwich and husband, Michael of Albuquerque, Dorine Kartchner and husband, Kevin of Albuquerque; Brian L. Wilson and wife, Dona of Grantsville, UT, Donald M. Wilson and wife, Margarita of Albuquerque, Terry L. Wilson and partner, Bong of Albuquerque, Adriana Gautreau of San Diego, CA, and Charles Marr and wife, Michelle of Walla Walla, WA; twenty grandchildren, and thirty four great grandchildren. Lynn was preceded in death by his first wife, Rhea M. Wilson; brothers, Rulon, Lowell and Robert Wilson; and sister, Ruth Bennion. He was born in Firth, Idaho, raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to Albuquerque in 1961. Lynn served in the United States Navy during WWII as a radioman. He became an Electrical Engineer and worked for Honeywell for 35 years. Lynn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – Eldorado Ward and served a full time mission in Southern California. He completed many callings, most notably a Scout Master for fifteen years. His hobbies included electronics and woodworking, and loved the outdoors and traveling. Lynn was loved by all who knew him, and was very family oriented. A Viewing will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. with a service following at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – Eldorado Ward, 4109 Eubank Blvd., NE with Bishop Sam Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
