Lyle William Burns

Lyle W. Burns, 90, died on Sunday, May 30, 2021. He was predeceased by his wife, Polly; daughter, Beverly Kalmes; brother, Gene; and sister, Fae Reese. He is survived by his twin sister, Lyla Atkinson; his son, Lyle "Bud" Jr. (Sara); daughter, Brenda Schauer (Kent); grandchildren, Missy Igel (Peter), Katie Penn, (Bobby), Tres Kalmes (Stephanie), Celena O'Neil, Dillon Burns, Vaughn Burns, TJ Divett (Deandra), Jared Divett (Chantelle), Sarah Whetten (Shaun), and Sam Divett (Rochelle); 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Lyle was selfless and caring. He was an inventor and patent owner. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, 12:30 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. at FRENCH-University. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be TJ Divett, Jared Divett, Sam Divett, Masen Divett, Daden Divett, Shaun Whetten, and Jason Coyle.
