Lyda (Salazar) Byers

Lyda (Salazar) Byers, 84, beloved mother, completed her journey on this earth on February 10, 2018. Lyda was born to Manuel and Sinfrosa Salazar on February 17, 1933 in Velarde, NM. She is survived by her children, Wayne (Beatrice), Susan (Le Roy), Darlene (Mike), Glenda, Lisa (Alyn), Joseph "Joe- Bobby Jr.", Renee, John (Della), and Wilma (Ray). Lyda had 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Lyda’s passion in life was her family.

Rosary will be recited Wednesday, February 14, 2018, 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming. Friends and family may visit beginning at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 15, 2018, 9:00 a.m., at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph’s Dr. NW. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donivan Byers, Wayne, Derek, Jason, Matthew, and Jeremy.
