Luther Wayne Meadows

Luther Wayne Meadows, age 83, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 in Albuquerque, NM. Wayne was born Saturday, October 15, 1938 in Cushing, OK to Richard L and Bessie B (Searcy) Meadows.

He graduated from Duncan High School and attended Cameron College, studying Civil Engineering. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1960 and served 10 years as a Corpsman during the Vietnam War receiving several medals.
Wayne worked as a nurse at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM for 26 years, retiring in 2007.

Wayne loved his family. He always enjoyed calling friends and family members with updates and sharing memories. Wayne loved watching old movies and working on vehicles and driving his GTO. He always wanted friends to experience the ride in his GTO. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Meadows; and sisters, Judy Baker and Janie Meadows. Survivors include sons, Alan Meadows and wife, Kathy of Rainier WA; Nolan Meadows and wife, Laura of Peralta, NM; daughter, Jennifer Martinez of Albuquerque NM; and sister, Vicky Edelman and her husband, Lloyd of Fort Worth, TX; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service to take place on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
