Luke Charles Rehnberg

Our beloved father, Luke Charles Rehnberg, born August 28th, 1949, in Bridgeport, CT, recently passed on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022, in Albuquerque, NM. Luke was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who touched the lives of many others with his jovial spirit. Married for 49 years, he leaves behind his wife, Barbara and his three sons, Erik, Jonny, Dean, and their families.

Luke dedicated his life to his family and his career as an artist. With his interest in art starting in grammar school, Luke received various awards throughout high school and also while being an active member of the Young Artist Association in Fairfield, CT. He attended Famous Artist Schools in Westport, CT from 1964-1966 and The Paier School of Art from 1969-1971 majoring in fine art and illustration. He also studied under the famous artist Norman Rockwell.

Over the last 10 years, he has devoted his time to live-painting in the patio of El Pinto Restaurant alongside his wife. His artwork has been featured throughout El Pinto Restaurant, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, and numerous local venues throughout his career. He will truly be missed.
