Luella Willie, 93, passed away on May 2, 2016. Luella Willie was born October 14, 1922, Moriarty, NM to Dennis and Effie Stella Willie. She was born the eighth child of 14. She worked as a cook for Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque for 40 years until retirement. Miss Willie was cherished by her siblings and numerous nephews and nieces, as well as close friends who were like family.
Miss Willie was preceded in death by four brothers, Wilson Eugene Willie, Albert Richard Willie, Lester D. Willie, Ila J. Willie; and five sisters, Cora Fay Barnard, Dora May Strait, Margie Lea Mitchell, Lyna Marecek, and Laura Downey. She is survived by her sisters, Bernice Maloch of Livermore, CA and Betty Martin of Eugene, OR; brothers, Robert and Billy Max Willie of Eugene, OR; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016, 2:00 p.m. with visitation to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Chester T. French Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
