Lucille (Timmons) Spencer went home to be with the Lord, October 28, 2015. She was born on a farm in Moriarty, New Mexico to Lyman and Minnie (Long) Timmons.
She graduated from Moriarty High School in 1941. She married the love of her live, Vernon "Vern" Spencer on May 24, 1942 at the home of her parents in Moriarty. They moved to Albuquerque in 1952
Lucille loved music, played the piano and was part of the family Quartet singing at conventions. She supported Vern in his love for racing, football and basketball.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Vern; brother Chester Timmons; sister Avanelle (Timmons) Dean; four daughters Janet Nelle Spencer, Shirley Spencer, Margaret (Spencer) DeMoss and Irene (Spencer) Thein.
She is survived by two sons Walter Spencer and wife Dot of Los Lunas, NM, Don Spencer and wife Adele of Frisco, TX and daughter Karen Spencer of Albuquerque; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.Services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Heights Church of the Nazarene, 8401 Paseo Del Norte NE.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Nazarene Missions Funds, c/o Heights Church of the Nazarene, 8401 Paseo Del Norte NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122.
