Age 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013. She was born and raised in Greeley, CO and attended Colorado Teachers College where she sang in the school's a cappella choir. While teaching in Lance Creek, Wyoming she met her husband, Rowland "Sparky" Martin whom she married in 1942. In Albuquerque, Lucille worked at and retired from Sears. She was a long-time member of La Mesa Presbyterian Church, the Albuquerque Petrol Club, was an avid bridge player and loved gatherings with family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Kay Glantz and husband, Bob of Mesa, AZ, Jane Anderson and husband, Dave of Santa Fe, NM as well as nieces and nephews including Patti Zimmerman (Alan), Bob Hamilton, Linda Armstrong, Alan Fitz (Polly), Beverly Vincent, Jo Ann Oakley, Marilyn Vandiver and Marvella Martin. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Rowland "Sparky", parents, Zella and James Beagle; sister Mildred Hamilton; and other family members across the country. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at 2:00 pm at La Mesa Presbyterian Church, 7401 Copper Ave NE, with Rev. Trey Hammond officiating.
