Lucia A. (Mascarenas) Mascarenas

Lucia A. Mascarenas was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 28, 2019. She was born on January 23, 1935 in Roy, NM. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Camilita and Jose Mascarenas; sister, Sarah Velarde; brothers, Eloy and Tony Mascarenas; brother-in-law, Tony Velarde and sister-in-laws, Jerry and Nancy Mascarenas. She is survived by her sister, Virginia Thrap; and brothers; Carlos Mascarenas and wife, Molly and Robert Mascarenas; sister-in-law, Ramona Mascarenas; and four generations of nieces; and nephews. Ms. Mascarenas retired from federal service after 30 years, working for the most part, at the US Army Corps of Engineers. After her retirement she worked part-time at Carrie Tingley Hospital. She was a kind gentle lady and will be missed immensely by her family and friends. Services will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl SE in Albuquerque on Friday, February 8, 2019. Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
