Lt. Aaron B. Loggins Jr. passed on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Aaron Jr. was born on Tuesday, December 26, 1961, in Otero County. He served our country in the U.S. Army. He was in the Persian Gulf War (Desert Storm). He graduated from UNM with a bachelor's degree in criminology. He worked for the City of Albuquerque for 25 years, where he retired in 2018. He was a bowler and participated in tournaments since 1999. He is an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police and APS Athletics. Aaron Jr. is survived by his wife, Kate Loggins; daughter Krystal (Christopher) Chavez; grandkids Keyalani and Eric Roddy Jr.; sisters Star and Desiree Loggins; aunts Virginia and Evelyn Loggins; and niece Chenee Castruita. He is preceded in death by his parents Aaron B. Loggins, Carole M. Loggins; and 1st born sister Carole M. Castruita. Aaron was a loving husband, father, and friend. He touched the lives of many people. He will be truly missed. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH -Wyoming. A Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl NE, at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Graveside Service on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
