Lowell D. "Lou" Harris

September 27, 1927 — March 22, 2014

Age 86, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully March 22, 2014, with his loving family around him. Lou is survived by his wife of 67 years T.J.; his sons, Scott Harris and wife, Sally and Bill Harris and wife, Susan; grandchildren who lovingly called him "Pa" and will serve as Honorary Pallbearers, David Wildes and wife, Carole, Dianna Wildes, Drew Wildes, Matthew Harris and wife, Vicki, Lindsey Harris, Ryan Harris, Cory Harris and wife, Stacey, Courtney Harris, Kayla Harris; great grandchildren, Victoria, Vanessa, RaeAnna, Grace, Alexander, Preston, Nick, Vance, Alainna, Abbie, Kylie, Andrew and Jaidon and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Wildes and his parents. Lou served our country in the United States Navy during WWII, and afterwards graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He served as County Attorney in Oklahoma, as well as the Office of the New Mexico State Attorney General, and an Assistant US Attorney for the United States Attorneys Office - New Mexico District. Upon retirement, enjoyed the outdoors and traveling, especially with his wife TJ along with many friends from the Siglo de Oro RV Club. Lou was a 32nd degree mason and longtime member of the Ballet Abyad Shrine and the Pipe Band. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Shriner's Children Hospital or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. A Memorial Celebration of Lou's Life will be Tuesday, March 25, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
