Lowbyane "Sis" Schneider

February 27, 1920 — April 8, 2016

Lowbyane "Sis" Schneider, 96, a long-time resident of Albuquerque passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 after a long full life. She was born in Dale, OK on February 27, 1920 to H.C. and Maud Rooker.
Sis was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend to many. She loved spending time with her family, working in her flower garden and taking care of her five turtles. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and writing letters to family and friends and was one of UNM's Lobo Baseball biggest fans.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 70 years, Jack; and two brothers, Jack and Bus Rooker.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen Schneider and wife Peggy of Escondido, CA and Brian Schneider and wife Penny of Albuquerque, NM. She was very fond and proud of her two grandchildren, Carson and Kendall Schneider of Albuquerque. She has a nephew, J.E. Rooker and wife Sarah of McLoud, OK; one great-nephew, Josh Rooker and wife Sandy, one great-niece, Tatum and husband Ryan plus six great great-nieces and nephews, Cale, Luke, Emma Claire, Jack, Justus and Jarret. She is also survived by her niece, Lisa Downey and husband Mark; two great-nephews, Zaide and Matthew Downey and a great-niece, Angela Downey, all of Jones, OK. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
