Louise Miller

December 10, 1921 — January 15, 2013

MILLER, LOUISEAge 91, a resident of Albuquerque for 67 years, wife of Coach Mickey Miller, mother of Linda Kelly, Lee Parks, Lynne Carson, and grandmother to Dan Parks went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Louise came to Albuquerque in 1946 to write and to become the Society Page Editor for the Albuquerque Tribune. There she was introduced to her future husband, Mickey. They were members of First United Methodist Church, where she researched, wrote and published the Book of Windows about the historic stained glass. Louise was a licensed pilot during the 1940's. She returned to journalism as Ask Miss Action Line for the Albuquerque Journal. Louise was active in AAUW all of her life. She is also survived by her sons-in-law, Sid, Randy, and Rich. Friends may visit FRENCH - University, Thursday, January 17, 2013, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorial Services will be held, Friday, January 18, 2013, 10:30 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, 314 Lead Ave. SW. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul NE. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Music Ministry or to the UNM Sports Medicine Fellowship which she and her late husband founded.
