Louise Rolfe Wood Klein, 74, beloved mother and grandma was called to her eternal resting place on November 26, 2015. She entered this world on October 18, 1941 in Houston, TX. She was raised in Santa Fe New Mexico and raised her children and grandchildren in Albuquerque.
Preceded in death by her father Edward R "Ned" Wood (daddy Jefe), Mother Gladys Marie Wood (Keet). Husband Connie Joe "Dink" Klein (Gaga)
Survived by daughter Michelle Knippel and her husband Mike Knippel; grandson Jeffery Barnard and wife Melissa;children Anthony, Caden, Kami; grandson Patrick Weldon and wife Lacy, children Heveanlee, Caylee; daughter Cheryl Schmatt and her husband Ben Schmatt. Honorary son Kevin Granger and wife Ellen Granger.
In her younger days she was a horse women, swimmer, bowler, skier and tennis player.
She was a hard worker and her many jobs included: Secretary at the State Capital in Santa Fe; Downs of Santa Fe and Albuquerque. A teacher at Temple Baptist; Secretary at Woodman of the World; and a manager at Roberts Oil.
She devoted much of her life doing for her children and grandchildren by being in the PTA at Apache; room mother and volunteer; becoming friends with the teachers; softball coach; and even chief umpire for Mile High Girls Softball league. For her grandsons she volunteered in their classes and kept them in activities like the YMCA Swim Team and YAFL and YABL.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the COPD Foundation or NM Animal Humane.
