Louisa R. Brown

Was born on September 19, 1936 in Hedley, Texas and went to be with Jesus on January 11, 2025. Preceded in death by her husband, James Brown; her parents, David and Ruth Kempson from Borger, Texas; sister, LaVern Ward of Bay City, Texas; granddaughter, Dolores Montoya; grandson, Peter Landis; and many others.

She is survived by her son, David Brown and his wife, Linda; daughter, Jacqueline Montoya; daughter, Donna Tennyson and her husband, Frank; son, Curtis Brown and his wife, Lucy. Also granddaughters, Reanna Servatt and her husband, Mike, Shelbie Teasley, and Misty Martinez; grandsons, Garrett Gatewood, Dominique Johnson and his wife, Caitlin, DeFabian Johnson and his wife, Maya, Cruz Martinez, Vic Martinez, and Junior Martinez; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Her family moved to Albuquerque from Plainview, Texas in 1958, and has lived in the same home for 65 years. She loved gardening, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her great-grandkids. She never met a stranger that she didn't like and was loved by many. Some of her nick names were "Social Butterfly", Grandma Woo, and "Weezie".

A viewing will be held Wednesday, January 22nd at 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. Her services will be held Thursday, January 23rd at 10:00 a.m. also at FRENCH - University. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. A luncheon will be held at the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 1, 4120 Cutler Ave. NE, following the interment at 12:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Frank Tennyson, Mike Servatt, Garrett Gatewood, Dominique Johnson, DeFabian Johnson, and Larry Villanueva.
