Emblem

Dad, you never said you were leaving. You never said Goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and God only knows why. In life we loved you dearly. In death we love you still. In our heart we hold a place that only you can fill. It broke our hearts to lose you. But you didn't go alone, a part of us went with you.

Louis was 91 when the Lord called his name. He was born August 25th, 1933, to Basilio and Magarita Maes. He was the youngest of 13. He then married the love of his life, Eloisa.

Our dad is survived by his loving children, Robert (Terri), Arleen (Ray), Janett (Gary), Geralyn (Gilbert), Louis Jr. (Angela), and Michael (Dorothy); special granddaughters, Jessica and kids, Cassandra and kids, and Crystal and kids; 115 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloisa; parents, Basilio and Margarita Maes, his 12 siblings; and special nephews, Dan and Gilbert Maes.

A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 8301 Camino San Martin SW. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on April 11, 2025 at 9 a.m.
