Louis E. Aragon passed away peacefully on September 1, 2013 at the age of 95. He was born in Walsenburg, CO, where he spent his early life herding sheep and working in the CCC camp at Garden of the Gods. After serving in the Army during WWII, he moved to Albuquerque and earned his degree in Accounting at UNM. He was one of the first employees at Sandia Corporation and enjoyed every day of his 30 year career. He is survived by his daughter and her husband, Kathryn and Jerry Crowder. He was very proud to have two wonderful grandchildren and their families, Evan and Sarah Dudley, Jessica and Ryan Jenkins; and his great-grandson, Colt. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Flo Aragon, her daughters Anita and Elaine and their families, and his niece, Linda Bonnefoy-Lev. He was predeceased by his beloved brother and sister, Del Aragon and Rebecca Bonnefoy, and his nephew, Buzz Aragon. His last years were spent at Brookdale Clare Bridge-Albuquerque where he was lovingly cared for by the incredible staff. We thank Anna Kaseman Hospice for helping him to find peace and comfort in his final days. After cremation, his remains will be returned to the Spanish Peaks area of southern Colorado.
