Louie Gutierrez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Louie R. Gutierrez who died on January 15th, 2025 at the age of 57. He is survived by his wife, Michele Gutierrez; his daughter, Marissa Gutierrez; father-in-law, Fred Anaya and wife, Sandra Anaya; his brother, Patrick Gutierrez and wife, Fonceal Gutierrez and daughters, Rebekah and Hannah Gutierrez; sister, Lucinda Baca and husband, Sam Baca and daughters, Jessica and Samantha Baca; and many more nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Benito R. Gutierrez and mother, Jessie Gutierrez.

After graduating high school in Tucumcari, he joined the United States Navy when he was 19 years old and proudly served for four years. Louie was employed by the US Postal Service for over 30 years.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Raymond G. Murphy Veterans Affairs Hospital for providing the best care for him in his final days.

A Memorial Service to honor Louie will be held Monday, January 27, 2025, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH-Lomas, with a viewing beginning at 9:00 a.m. A reception will follow. A graveside service will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
