Lou Sandoval was a lifetime resident of Logan, NM. She passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 in Albuquerque. Lou received her Bachelor of Science degree from Highlands University and her Masters of Education from UNM. Lou's passion was teaching. She taught 12 years in Harding County followed by 31 years teaching first grade in Logan. Her students were her angels. She was a member of National Education Association, the State Teachers Association and Phi Beta Kappa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; her parents, Jose Y. and Petrita L. Romero; sisters, Savelita Fuentes, and Clara Romero; brothers, John Romero, and Albert Romero. She is survived by her daughter, Marcella; nephew, Tony Fuentes; sister-in-laws, Margaret Hon and her husband George, and Carmela Allison; and numerous extended family members. Visitation will begin Monday, October 5, 2015, 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH - University followed by the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be Tuesday, October 6, 2015, 9:00 a.m., at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande, 5901 St. Joseph Ave NW. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
