Lorna was born in 1933 to Earl and Emma Prust in Greenleaf, Wisconsin. She was the first born and had three brothers, Jim, Bill, and Dave. They grew up on a dairy farm where she was taught the importance of hard work and Christian values.
After graduating high school she spread her wings and ventured out to Milwaukee where she attended nursing school and became an RN. She met Clayton Juno, who was studying to be an architect, at a church service. They dated, fell in love, married, and had three children, Kevin, Kay, and Chris. She devoted her time to taking care of her husband, children, and home. After going through a divorce, she moved to Espanola, New Mexico with her three children and went back to work as a nurse at the hospital.
In 1969 she married Lealand Graben, a Methodist minister, and they moved to Moriarty, NM. While living there, she commuted to Albuquerque to continue her education and completed the University of New Mexico Nurse Practitioner program and completed her preceptorship in Estancia, NM.
From Moriarty, they moved to several church appointments including Albuquerque, El Paso, and Hobbs. She continued to work as a nurse practitioner. In addition to being the organist at the churches, Lorna was actively involved in the life of each fellowship.
When Lealand retired from the Methodist church, they stepped out in faith and bought a building to start a church of their own. They enjoyed ministering to those whom God would send their way. After Lealand’s passing, she moved back to Albuquerque to be with family where she has resided since the mid 90’s. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, especially her beloved roses, daily walks, Bible study, and spending time with family and friends.
After two years of fighting an illness, Lorna went peacefully to be with her Heavenly Father with family by her bedside. Those who knew her will remember her as a strong, quiet woman who was generous, loving, and patient, who stepped out in faith to follow God where ever He might lead. We will miss her. Her memory will live on in our hearts but we rejoice knowing she is happy and well with her Heavenly Father.
