Lori Rabon "Jean" Wixted

Lori "Jean" Rabon Wixted, age 54, lost a long-fought battle with a brain tumor on Monday, June 1, 2015. Jean was a bright ray of sunshine to everyone who knew her. She was happy, fun-loving and positive to her last moments- she will be forever missed by her family and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her father, Dayton G. Rabon; her grandparents, Ray and Dahlia Emens; and her in-laws, William and Nancy Wixted. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Leo Wixted and their daughter, Kaitlin of Albuquerque NM; her mother, Shirley Rabon; brothers, Randy and wife, Cheri, Jeff and wife, Judy, and Tim and wife, Debbie, all of Alamogordo, NM, as well as sister-in-law, Jill Anne Adona of San Diego, CA; nieces, Kristy Rabon Alsleben (Matt) and Aneyla Adona; nephews, Chad Rabon (Paige), Chase Rabon (Laura), Travis Rabon, Chaney Rabon, Tom Rabon (Whitney), Sam Rabon and Blaise Adona; great-nieces, Lexi, Brooke, Mia and Paisley; great-nephews, Drew, Dane and Arlo. Jean loved and valued her family enormously, as well as her special extended family, Phil and JoAnn Griego; lifelong best friend, Terri Werner, and so many others who truly loved Jean. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming, with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held for Jean on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community. A celebration of Jean's life will be held on Sunday, June 7th in the pecan orchard at #9 La Luz Gate Road at 6:30 p.m. until sundown. Private interment will take place in Alamogordo at Monte Vista Cemetery on Monday, June 8, 2015. For those attending the mass and celebration of life, please wear or incorporate pink, Jean's favorite color, to honor her.
