Loretta Rodarte

Loretta Rodarte (Salas) passed peacefully on March 12, 2017, surrounded by her family after a valiant five-year battle with cancer. She was born August 6, 1938 to David and Lucy Salas of Alameda, NM.
Loretta attended St. Mary's High School and graduated from Valley High School in 1957. She married her wonderful, adoring husband, Ray Rodarte, on October 25, 1958.
Loretta worked for Mountain Bell for five years and later worked for the Albuquerque Public Schools system as an educational assistant. Loretta retired after 24 years.
Loretta was a lifelong Catholic and a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. She taught catechism for many years. Loretta was also a member of SNMDP#2.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ray Rodarte, Sr.; her daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Keith Keeling; her son and daughter-in-law, Ray Jr. and Lori, and her son, Steven. Loretta is also survived by her grandchildren, Dominic and Jordan.
Rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 4th Street NW in Albuquerque. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 at 9:00 a.m., also at the church. Father Juan Mendez will officiate. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
