Loretta Cordova, age 54, a resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Friday morning, January 3, 2014. Since 2005 she served as the Executive Director of the Sangre de Oro Hemophilia Foundation of New Mexico. She and her husband also served on the board of directors and has been an active member of the foundation since the early 90's. Loretta was very passionate about her work and truly dedicated to the foundation's mission of "enhancing the quality of life for people with Hemophilia and other bleeding disorders." Most importantly, Loretta was a loving wife, mother, and friend. Her compassionate spirit and kind attitude will be forever treasured by all who knew her. Loretta is survived by her husband of 30 years, Phillip Cordova; her three children: Elysa, Julian, and Patrick; her parents Robert & Lena Reyes; siblings: Veronica Reyes, Bridget Garner, and Damon Reyes. Memorial Rosary will be recited Tuesday, January 7, 2014, 9:00 a.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE. Following the Rosary, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the SDO Scholarship Fund: PO Box 51494, ABQ NM 87181-1494.
