Lonnie Lee Bakke

Lonnie Lee Bakke passed away surrounded by family Wednesday evening, February 24, 2016 in Albuquerque, at the age of 60, after a brief illness. He was born June 14, 1955 in Albuquerque, NM. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Darla; son, Sean and wife, Penny; daughters, Nicole and Jordan; father-in-law, Jerry Stricklin; sister-in-law, Marla Stricklin; nephew, Jacob Stricklin; brothers, Robert, James, and Johnny; and sisters, Sandra Smith (Randy), Yvonne, and Janelle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorentz and Mary Bakke. Lonnie was a very talented man, many of his woodworking creations can be seen throughout Albuquerque. He loved cars, motorcycles, spending time riding his jetski at the lake, rock hunting, and tinkering. Lonnie could fix absolutely anything and was always willing to help. He will be sorely missed at UNM, where he worked for 32 years. He was a compassionate, lovable and supportive husband, father, and friend, and will forever be loved dearly. Services will be held Monday, February 29, 2016, 3:00 p.m. at X Factor Christian Fellowship, 3023 Montclaire Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87110.
