Lois Jean Parro

Age 84, passed away January 21, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gilbert; her children, Steve Parro and wife, Jeaneene, Lisa Medina and husband, Ruben; grandchildren, Jordan Parro and wife, Sarah, Sarah Rock and husband, Justin, Connor Parro, Aaron Medina and many other family and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Mary Purnell; her siblings, Robert Purnell, Edward Purnell, Betty Simnick, Mildred Leib, Wilbur Purnell and Daniel Purnell. Lois was born in Illinois, met and married Gilbert in 1953, and moved to Albuquerque in 1979. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Lois lived a full life and especially loved her family. She had many friends and family here and in Illinois and Indiana. She enjoyed her bingo family at Sandia Casino. She was a wonderful cook and talented painter and artist. Her home was always open for cookouts and family gatherings. The family would like to thank Presbyterian Hospital and Anna Kaseman Hospice for their expert help and support. Services for Lois will be Tuesday, January 27, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m.
