Lois I. Morris, 78 of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015. She was born on October 13, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA to Otto Henry and Clara (Kirby) Walkemeyer. She was raised in California and she met Curtis Duane Morris in California and they later married in Las Vegas, NV on May 28, 1955. They came to New Mexico and settled first in San Ysidro, NM and later came to Albuquerque and lived in Bloomfield, NM and later returned to Albuquerque. She worked as a secretary for Albuquerque Public Schools, was a longtime member of the Albuquerque Optimist Club and was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Lois is survived by her husband Curtis; children: son Kenneth Morris and wife Linda of Amarillo, TX, daughter Doris Goode and husband Bear of Navajo Lake, NM, daughter Kristie Morris of Belen, NM; her grandchildren: Dawn, Sean (Chelsey), Christopher and Brandon Morris, David Goode and Gabriel Morris; great-grandchildren: Alayna Duran and Zoi Morris; sister Sharon Stiff and husband Tim. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 700 Camelot Blvd. SE, Los Lunas, NM. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
