Lois M. (Carlson) Bowlby

Lois M. (Carlson) Bowlby passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 in Rio Rancho, NM. A long-time resident of Roswell, NM, Lois was born in Glen Ridge, NJ, on Tuesday, November 26, 1929, where she spent most of her childhood. Her family moved to Washington, NJ, during her teen years, where she lived until moving to Roswell in 1966. In Washington, her father managed a grocery store and cigar shop where she worked along with her three brothers. Always a hard worker, she later helped her husband, Harold, run their coal-delivery business and build their first house. In Roswell, Lois made many friends selling Avon and Fuller Brush products. She enjoyed arts and crafts of all kinds, gardening, watching baseball, cold beer on a hot afternoon, and spending time with friends and family. She had a special love for animals, especially her cats. She is survived by her three children, Karen D’Arezzo and her husband, Bob, of Albuquerque; Roger Bowlby and his wife, Kim, of Loveland, CO and Nancy Romero and her husband, Ken, of Wellington, CO; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Later this year, a celebration of her life will be scheduled in Roswell.
