Loetta Hobbs, 88, beloved mother, wife, and nanny to many, was called to her Eternal resting place on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. She entered this world on Monday, May 22, 1933 in Vanzant County, Texas. Born to Vester and Mildred Stevenson. She was a graduate of Lindrith High School, a one room school house in Lindrith, New Mexico, where she was a proud female athlete on the men's baseball team. She dedicated her life to being a mother of four, and wife of a successful rancher. After the death of her husband, Bo Hobbs, Loetta and her children were living lives of their own and she took life by the horns. She traveled throughout Europe, Hawaii, and accomplished a lifelong goal of seeing Israel, following the same steps that Jesus took. She lived life to the fullest and dedicated herself to her beloved church, First Baptist Church of Albuquerque. She lived life for her family and her church. Loetta would be the one in a middle pew, wearing a bright pink suit, metal pin on her lapel, hair and make up perfect and singing her favorite hymns, loud and proud, two octaves too high. Her style and beauty were an envy of many. Although her outer beauty turned heads, her inner beauty turned hearts. Her greatest motivation and joy in life were the opportunity to lead her friends, family, and strangers to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Loetta was proceeded in death by her husband, Bo Hobbs; parents, Vester and Mildred Stevenson; sister, Naomi Haines; her son, Wesley Hobbs; granddaughter, Amanda Hobbs; and son-in-law, Joe Strotman. She is survived by her children, Leona Strotman, Wanda Hobbs and William Hobbs; grandchildren, Chris Yarnell, Michelle Pattin, and husband, Michael, Lisa Maez and husband, Adam, Tyler Strotman, John Hobbs, and Willie Bo Hobbs, Jr; great-grandchildren, Ashley Pattin, Erin Pattin, Mariah Wiley, Leland Maez, Caroline Maez, Elliott Maez, Easton Maez, Nicholas Hobbs, and Kamdan Hobbs; and great-great-grandson, Brixton Pattin.
