Linden Edward Griffee, 74, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 4, 2022. He was born November 17, 1947, in Texas City, TX to Gus and Edith Griffee. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Katie; their children Melissa, Scott (Andrea), and Karie; his grandchildren Micaiah, Sora, Sage, Cali, and Neeko; great-grandchildren Noah and Ezra; his sister Barbara Plasek; sister-in-law Melanie Hinton; niece and nephews Drew, Taylor, Derrick, and Kyle; and many great nieces and nephews.
Linden grew up in Texas City, TX. He graduated from Texas City High School in 1966. Their class just got together for their 55th Class Reunion. He played football and was a Lifeguard at the Texas City swimming pool during the summers. After high school he went off to Stephen F. Austin to earn a degree in business.
Linden was a successful businessman who worked in the Albuquerque area for most of his life. After retiring, he began touring and competing with his 1931 Model A and 1979 Corvette. His cars brought him joy and pride, but the friendships made from them were the most important to him. Linden enjoyed traveling with friends and working around the house. He was full of life and was always on the go.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10th from 5-7:00pm at FRENCH-Wyoming. A Graveside will be held on Friday, March 11th at 12:00pm at Sunset Memorial Park 924 Menaul Blvd NE 87107. Please enter the cemetery through the gate on Menaul Blvd.
