Linda Martino

Linda was born in Galveston, TX on September 23, 1928. She was the daughter of Manuel and Maria Diaz and sister to Arthur Diaz. Linda is survived by her son, John; daughter, Diana Quinn; and four grandchildren, Donna Hayman, Ryan Quinn, Daniel Quinn, and Michael Martino. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John A. Martino. Linda was a graduate of Albuquerque High. She met John while he was on leave during World War II. When he returned from the war they were married. She was very active in the community. She enjoyed playing bridge every week, was a member of the Cosmopolitan Women's Club. She served as their president in 1996. Linda was very active in her church. At the Shrine of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church she was a lector on Sundays as well as facilitated the training of new lectors. She and her husband John were avid Lobo Basketball fans. She loved music, books and traveling. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 28, 2015, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 29, 2015, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Road NE.
