Linda Cusimano, 77, passed away on February 28, 2018, lovingly surrounded by her family. She was born Sept 14,1940 in Connersville, Indiana to John and JoAnne Gwin. She is survived by her sister, Betty Lansdowne (husband, John); three children, Curt (wife, Regina), Kim (husband, Phil), and Louis (wife, Lisa); seven beautiful grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor's Degree in French and a minor in History. Later, she attended USC graduating with a Master's degree in Library Sciences and became a passionate, lifelong SC Football fan! She retired from Sandia Laboratories in 2007 after 17 years of exceptional service in the national interest. Family described her as a well-educated, no-nonsense, fun-loving woman who loved adventure and travel. She was generous, gracious, and encouraged her children and grandchildren to live fully and without fear! She had a strong will that, in the end, helped her to fight the disease that eventually led to her death. Grandchildren found her to be a loving, dedicated and generous "Meema" who was the first to support their sports, music, and other activities. She was honestly loved by anyone who met her.
A Celebration of Life will be announced for late Spring-early Summer.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to: Christina Kent Early Childhood Center, 423 3rd St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102, Martin's Hospitality Center, 1201 3rd St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102 or a charity of your choice.
