Lillian was born on July 14, 1944 and was called to Eternal rest on July 5, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrocinio and Francisquita Martinez; brothers, Pat and Erminio Casias; and sisters, Erlinda Casias and Cecilia Martinez.
She is survived by sister, Sylvia Sisneros of Albuquerque, NM and Teodorita (Tita) Martinez of Guadalupita, N. M.; brothers, Sisto Martinez of Moriarty, NM, Carlos Martinez and wife Bertha of Mora, NM; and numerous nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly and was extremely proud of.
Lillian graduated from St. Gertrude's High School in Mora, NM in 1963. She moved to Denver, Colorado, where she lived for over 50 years. While residing in Denver, she enjoyed traveling to many countries. While in Rome, she attended a Mass by Pope John Paul. She was an avid Denver Bronco fan, attending the Super Bowl in Florida for their championship.
Lillian was a resident of the Brio Assisted Living Facility in Albuquerque, NM for the last two years. The family is grateful to the staff for the care they provided. The family would also like to acknowledge a special niece, Patricia Sisneros, for going above and beyond by taking on the responsibility of coordinating her care and needs throughout her years in Albuquerque. Thanks to all the other people involved in her well-being.
She was a loved sister and aunt. May she rest in peace.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, 8:15 a.m., at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande. Funeral Mass will take place immediately following the Rosary, at 9 a.m.
Burial will take place 10:30 a.m. on July 23 at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Mora, NM.
