Lila Jeane Turner, age 94, died peacefully in her Rapid City, SD home on July 27, 2016. Lila was born on August 30, 1921 in Wildcat, OK, the daughter of Wasco and Nancy Hedrick. Lila was a longtime resident of Albuquerque before spending the last thirty years close to family in Utah, Colorado, and finally South Dakota.
Lila was preceded in death by her husband, Van R. Turner; infant daughter, Juanita; and brother, Elwood Hedrick. Lila is survived by her daughter, Nita and her husband, Bob Smith; grandson, Shon Smith; granddaughter, Vanessa and her husband, Dave Ahlrichs; two great granddaughters; and two great grandsons.
A Viewing will be held Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. Graveside Services will be on Monday, August 1, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
