Lila Ruth Mitchell

MITCHELL, LILA RUTH Age 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, passed away August 1, 2013. She is survived by son Gerald of Bernalillo and his wife Laurie; son Mark of Bothell, Washington and his wife Beth; brother and sister-in-law Burt and Marie Dickerman of Fort Sumner; sister Evelyn Robison of Fort Worth, Texas; brother Donnie Dickerman of Apache Junction, Arizona and sister and brother-in-law Alice and Bill Stevens of Albuquerque; as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by husband Melvin; son Stephen; parents Harold and Lillian Dickerman and brother Earl. Lila attended Eastern New Mexico University earning an Associate of Arts in 1945. She worked at the Fort Sumner Air Base and the Roswell Chamber of Commerce in the 1940's. She retired from Sears in Albuquerque in 1991 employed 15 years as a cashier. Friends may visit FRENCH - University on Monday, August 5 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - University.
