Lide Gertrude (Wylie) Redvelski

April 16, 1938 — April 13, 2021

Lide Wylie Breeze Redvelski "Bah", 82, of Albuquerque, wife of Gene, died Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on April 16, 1938, daughter of the late Gertrude and Marshall J Wylie. She is survived by her husband, Gene; three brothers, Mike Wylie and his wife, Pamela, Steven Wylie and his wife, Nancy, and Patrick Wylie; sister, Sandy Wylie; children, Kim Carpenter, Kelly Ruggles, Bryan Ruggles and his wife, Lisa, and Barry Ruggles, and his wife, Debra; grandchildren; Kory Sauter, Lee Sauter, Kyle Ruggles, Amanda Sierra, and Sydney Ruggles; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Sauter; great-great-granddaughter, Avyiana Pena; and three stepchildren.

Lide enjoyed being a seamstress and making all our clothes, and yes, we would look like quadruplets. Holidays were a favorite in our family, especially Christmas. Bah and Papa had us decorate the house like the Griswolds, and wash the dishes by hand, keep in mind there were many! Her devotion to animals came from working at the Manzano animal Clinic for 17 plus years. The family often had many different recuses, from hawks to cats, dogs; you name it. Lide was an avid outdoorsman. She loved hunting, camping, and fishing (only if one of us was putting the worm on), but boating was ultimately her favorite. She could sit all day without a word, she was at peace on the water.

Lide was also a Season ticket holder for the UNM lobos and when she could not go to the games anymore, the purple transistor radio became her best friend. She played yearly football pools with her daughter, Kelly, for 23 years. Lide was always supportive of all our sports, the many practices, and the endless travels for each. She was a lifetime member of Women of the Moose and held various positions over the years including Senior Regent from 1977-1978. She received her College of Regents Degree in 1980, her Star Recorder Degree in 1981, and was New Mexico/Arizona Deputy Grand Regent 1994-1995. Lide was a 50 plus year member and continued to serve her local chapter 1266 in many other capacities throughout her life.

Due to COVID restrictions, cremation will take place and a memorial will be held at a later date.
