Lewis Dubois Erwin, II, 89, died June 30, 2017 after a long illness. Lew was born in New Orleans, graduated high school in Michigan, served in the army, attended college in Michigan, Georgia, Arizona and California where he settled and earned an MA in History. He loved Los Angeles and the Southwest. He shared his interest of history, politics, painting, sports, chess, food, spirits, music and poetry with his large family. He was a gentle person inspired by Buddha; a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who wanted peace for the world and dessert after dinner.
A Buddhist service to celebrate Lew’s life will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at The Lotus Dragon Center, 3408 Constitution NE, Albuquerque 87106.
