Leslie Diane Mason

Leslie Diane Mason, 80 years of age was at home when she went peacefully to be with her Father God in heaven on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Rosalie a longtime friend who cared for her until the end was with Leslie as were, her pets whom she adored, Tinker and Phoebe.

Leslie was born on February 19, 1942, to Carol Goodnough Whitehead and Donald Whitehead in Dayton, Ohio.
Leslie moved to Albuquerque, NM with her loving husband, Ruric D. Mason. They were married for 40 years.

Leslie loved to cook for her family and gatherings. She owned a yarn shop call the Garden Yarn Shop in Ohio. She enjoyed needle point, cross stitch, knitting, crochet, and gardening. She also, enjoyed going out to tea with her friends.
She was an avid member of Our Lad of Nativity until she could no longer attend.

Leslie was preceded in death by her husband, Ruric D. Mason; parents, Carol, and Donald Whitehead; daughter, Laura Pryor; grandson, Colter, and stepson, Brian.
She left behind a younger sister, Ellen Hopkins; nephew, Chad Hopkins; daughter-in-law, Teri Odam; son, Jim; stepdaughters, Robin, Kathy (Skip), and Shelly and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leslie also leaves behind faithful friends and neighbors, Karen and Ron, and a long-time friend, Rosalie, and her children and grandchildren who were always there to help especially during the time of Covid.

Thank you to Kindred Hospice and all the nurses and personal that helped in caring for our dear Leslie. Special thanks to Dr. Grady, Nurse Victoria, Nurse Lydia, Kristan, Wayne, Isaac, and Chaplain Karen, Chaplain Lewis, Nurse Issa, Chaplain Andrew, and Rebecca, and Zack for delivering her meds. Thank you to everyone that was in service to Leslie and all the prayers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., FRENCH - Westside.
