Leroy Carl "Roy" Exum
d. March 29, 2017
Leroy Carl Exum passed into Glory on March 29, 2017, after having suffered a massive stroke three days prior. He was born in Thayer, KS on April 25, 1925. He is survived by son, Bill Exum (LaRheta); daughter Roylee Hedges-Accetta (Joe); grandchildren, Dawson Hedges (Stacy), Paul Hedges (Kelly), Craig Exum (Summer), Michael Exum (Maggie), Travis and Brittany Dutton; and 11 great grandchildren.
Roy traveled the world beginning with his enlistment in the US Navy in WWII. He worked in Panama as well as Libya. He was a free-spirit but lived mainly in Oregon and New Mexico. He endeared himself to most by his quick wit and humor. His family is sincerely grateful for the friends he made the last few years at the Rio Grande Retirement Community.
The Lord delivered him from his worn out body and we will surely see him again. Until then, we will miss you Dad.
