Leonard R. Torres

Leonard R. Torres passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 1, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fidel W. Torres; and brother, Alfred Torres.

He is survived by his children, Leonard R. Torres Jr., and Jynel Brittany Torres; 3 grandchildren, O'ryan Torres, Lyahm Torres, and Leo Torres; mother, Dora Torres; brother(s), Arthur Torres and wife, Valerie, Pete Torres and wife, Bella; along with many family members and friends.

Leonard was born on April 12, 1958 in Socorro, NM., and currently resided in Rio Rancho, NM in the same home he raised his beautiful kids in. Leonard was a former Insurance Agent for Triple A of New Mexico and was currently working on retiring.

Leonard had a huge heart, and he will be remembered by his fun-loving personality. He had a knack for making friends wherever he went and enjoyed watching sports, such as, football or UFC. Go Cowboys!! He took great pride in being a hunter and had a special place in his heart for the Magdalena Mountains.

He liked big trucks and was often found riding his Harley Davidson around town. Let's just say, you knew when Leonard was coming. He made sure his presence was seen and heard.

If you knew Leonard, then you knew he loved his phone. He found joy in talking to his friends and family regularly. If you were Leonard's friend, you had a friend forever.

He will be missed, but never forgotten.

In honor of Leonard's wishes, his family will be cremating him and holding a service for him in celebration of his life on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at Sagebrush Church, 6440 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120.
